Opera Memphis Announces 30 Days
OPERA MEMPHIS ANNOUNCES "30 DAYS OF OPERA" PRESENTED BY EVOLVE BANK & TRUST
Deepening the "30 Days of Opera" Experience
MEMPHIS, TN – Opera Memphis will increase the scope of its 30 Days of Opera program, a month-long audience development initiative launched in 2012 and presented by Evolve Bank & Trust. Each September, the program delivers 30 consecutive days of free performances throughout the Memphis area, inspiring hundreds of attendees to purchase tickets to Opera Memphis’ mainstage performances. New for 2015, Opera Memphis will embed a documentary filmmaker with the 30 Days performers. The resulting footage will provide content for a new website that will be updated daily with customized links, along with lively video segments featuring singers and audience members. The website will target 30 Days attendees with opera-related experiences that bridge the gap between thinking about attending an opera and actually buying a ticket.
From its beginning, Evolve has realized that our success and that of the communities we serve are inseparable. Always keeping this in mind, Evolve is committed to providing exceptional banking services in addition to providing support for our communities, businesses and neighbors. Through Evolve Bank & Trust's Giving Back Projects, we have provided sponsorships and financial resources for initiatives that support our youth, underserved, education, the arts, community events, outreach and development initiatives.
Evolve is mindful that -- as a responsible civic leader -- it must be a leader in providing charitable, financial support as well as being actively engaged with other community involvements. Each year, Evolve’s employees commit countless hours to the support of local events and organizations. We recognize these special opportunities since we live and work in our communities and care about the welfare of both our people and their resources.
In addition to these sponsorships, we have also supported various charity races and volunteered with various faith-based organizations both in the Memphis and Arkansas communities. In the last couple years, Evolve sponsored 40 children from the Neighborhood Christian Center to attend “Once Upon a Hamster”, an Opera Memphis production. In addition, Evolve sponsored an eight-week financial literacy class for sophomores, juniors and seniors from the NCC. Furthermore, in partnership with the University of Memphis Women’s Basketball team and the Neighborhood Christian Center, Evolve hosted a basketball camp for the inner city children who frequent the NCC with nearly 50 kids in attendance. Evolve has additionally sponsored a dinner in which all funds raised were donated to the Ave Maria Home, a specialized residence for individuals needing adult day care, assisted living or a nursing facility. In addition, we had a very good employee turn out to run and raise money for the Oak Hall Run for St. Jude, an annual fundraiser for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Evolve team also won an award for the team to raise the most money for this cause. Evolve has been the Signature Sponsor the Marion Chamber of Commerce 5k Family Fun Run/Walk benefitting the Marion Community. Evolve also made a contribution to the Arkansas Community Foundation, an organization whose mission is to engage people, connect resources, and inspire solutions to build communities.
