Joe Jenkins Joins Evolve Bank & Trust

WEST MEMPHIS, Arkansas, August 26, 2009 – Crittenden County-based Evolve Bank and Trust is pleased to announce that Mr. Joe Jenkins has joined its Board of Directors. Mr. Jenkins was employed in the banking industry for 34 years and was Chairman and President of the former Citizens Bank, Marion, Arkansas. Scott Lenoir, Evolve Bank & Trust’s Chairman, commented, “Joe is an amazing individual, and we are very fortunate to have him on our team. His presence will have a positive impact throughout Crittenden County and beyond.”

Mr. Jenkins is a graduate of Arkansas State University and The Stonier Graduate School of Banking of Rutgers University. He served as an instructor and Board Chairman of The Mid-South School of Banking in Memphis. During his banking career, Mr. Jenkins served on the Arkansas Bank Holding Company Board and was a member of the committee which rewrote the banking laws for the State of Arkansas. Mr. Jenkins responded, “I am pleased to be part of a great organization and group of people who are committed to Crittenden County and Eastern Arkansas. I look forward to supporting Evolve’s growth and giving my hometown and former customers the service they deserve.”

Mr. Jenkins has served on the Arkansas Affiliate and the national board of the American Heart Association. He was Chairman of the Mid-South Community College Foundation Board and the Crittenden County Regional Hospital Board and was a founding member of the Esperanza Bonanza Festival in Marion, Arkansas. He presently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Assisi Foundation of Memphis. Scott Stafford, President and CEO of Evolve Bank and Trust, further commended Mr. Jenkins, “his leadership, banking experience and extensive knowledge of our markets will be instrumental as we continue to expand our market share, build our presence and serve our communities.”
