Money 20/20 is the premiere fintech gathering of the year, where the most influential leaders in payments and financial technology take center stage to engage in industry-shifting conversations in the global money ecosystem.
Booth presided over a panel entitled “Can Compliance be a Competitive Advantage?” Fellow panelists included: Gizelle Barany, General Counsel, Alloy; Nick Farrow Head of Bank Partnerships, Modern Treasury; and Adam Shapiro, Partner Co-Founder, Klaros Group. As the panel discussed how fintech companies should see compliance as a competitive advantage, Booth highlighted the importance of Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and how it can be leveraged by sales and marketing to better understand a product’s audience and appeal.
Booth also stressed the importance of understanding underlying regulatory concepts, as they often align with the goals of customer support and protection. By equipping themselves with this knowledge, organizations are better prepared for compliance oversight.
